Fake news has already undermined democracy, enabled large-scale fraud and incited violence. It also violates the fundamental human right to free choice, as it denies informed decision-making. Governments and the public are becoming increasingly concerned – and pressure is being applied to the biggest names in technology for a solution. Presently, the only solution is human review – slow, error prone and staggeringly expensive.
To solve fake news, Fabula AI developed (and patented) Geometric Deep Learning – the first AI technology able to learn from social networks. This AI has been trained to deliver unbiased authenticity scores for any piece of news, in any language. The initial model has already proven its ability to quickly and accurately spot fake news.

Fabula AI uses patented Geometric Deep Learning to distinguish between real news and fake news. Geometric Deep Learning is a novel form of deep learning and is uniquely suited to analysing and learning from the complexities of social networks. Unlike other approaches to detecting fake news, our method does not rely on natural language processing - our technology is language and locale independent.
In the past decade, Deep Learning approaches (e.g. Convolutional Neural Networks and Recurrent Neural Networks) have achieved unprecedented success over a broad range of subjects (e.g. Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, etc.). Despite this success, research on Deep Learning techniques has mainly focused on data defined on Euclidean domains (i.e. grids). However, in a multitude of different fields, such as Biology, Physics, Network Science, Recommender Systems and Computer Graphics, the data is non-Euclidean (i.e. graphs and manifolds). Geometric Deep Learning extends the proven Deep Learning techniques to graph/manifold structured data.

As a Data Scientist at Fabula AI, you will be responsible for developing novel, effective and scalable solutions to tackle very challenging problems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in statistical analysis, signal processing and machine learning. Excellent programming skills, creativity and independence are necessary for this position.
